We believe privacy is a fundamental human right, not a luxury feature. In a world where every click, photo, and upload is tracked, we wanted to build a tool that gives power back to the user.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: create simple, free, and completely private tools that solve real problems. When we saw other "privacy" tools that required you to upload your sensitive photos to *their* servers to be cleaned, we knew there was a better way.

PrivacyPixel was built to be 100% client-side. That's a technical term that means your photos *never* leave your computer. All the processing, metadata reading, and scrubbing happens securely in your own browser. We never see your files. We never store your data. Period.

How It Works

When you drop a photo into the app, our in-browser JavaScript (EXIF.js) reads its metadata. Then, to scrub it, we don't *edit* the file—we create a *brand new image* by painting only the pixels onto an HTML5 Canvas. We then let you download this new, clean image, which is completely free of all hidden data. The original file is never touched.
